Meet the Team
Passive House Construction
Passive House Construction (PHC) was created by Dmitry Baskin in 2019. Baskin focused his 25+ years of construction and project management expertise to improve the quality of homes in today’s climate. Through his collaborations with like-minded engineers, architects, and craftsmen, Baskin’s mission has been to innovate and elevate home standards, creating beautiful and comfortable homes. Baskin’s robust work and education background have given him the tools and resources to think and build outside of the box. He has been involved in the development of a variety of projects ranging from urban mixed-use high-rise structures to city/government infrastructure to passive house development. Baskin’s education history, including a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from the University of Miami, have further helped him to better understand and consider the climate of today’s markets. Rather than building typical homes using past design and building standards, Baskin has pushed to create new, high-performing homes that exceed comfort and style. In his words, “We build for today’s times, not yesterday’s”.

RODE is a full-service collaborative design firm comprising a team of architects, interior designers, and urban planners who are guided by two principles: great design has the power to transform our environment, and working collaboratively is the best way to achieve that goal. Since 2006, RODE has been creating phenomenal spaces across greater Boston and beyond. Their work always seeks to enhance the human experience in the built world.
RODE is passionate about designing for sustainability and climate resiliency and approaches each project holistically, with a focus on community and user experience to bring the most effective forms of sustainability to each project. RODE was proud to partner with Passive House Construction (PHC) to create the first internationally certified Passive House single-family homes in the City of Boston, the Brucewood Homes.
